About the Curriculum Material Center (CMC)

The Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) provides educational resources for the students and faculty in East Stroudsburg University's College of Education. The CMC space is located on the ground floor of Kemp Library.

Curriculum Materials Center Collections

Collections include the Children's and Young Adult Collections and a Textbook/Curriculum Kit Collection. The CMC collections are appropriate for K-12 lesson planning needs.

Childrens' and Young Adult Collections:

  • Easy books or Picture Books
    • Pre-school to grade 3
  • Fiction books
    • Grade 4 to 8
    • Young Adult -Grade 9 to 12
  • Biography
  • Non-fiction
  • Newbery, Caldecott, and Michael Printz Award books
  • Other medal books and honor books (i.e. Coretta Scott King, Pura Belpre, and Robert Siebert, etc.).
  • Spanish and bilingual books
  • Books on Diversity and Inclusion topics

Textbook and Curriculum Kit Collection

Reserve CMC Space

ESU Education Department Faculty have first priority to use the CMC space for class sessions. Kemp Library encourages Education Faculty to bring their classes to the CMC on a regular basis for class sessions and library information sessions led by the Education Department Liaison Librarian.

During library information sessions, students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with books and other materials available in the CMC and learn how to best use them for lesson planning.
