Margaret J. Ball, is the Interim Provost, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and serves as the University's Chief Academic Officer.
The Provost provides leadership in fulfilling the University's strategic directions: academic excellence, student learning, service, diversity, expanded resources, and a positive campus climate.
Dr. Ball is committed to ESU’s mission to promote and support a challenging and contemporary undergraduate and graduate curricula that engage and equip students to critically appraise and apply knowledge in their lives and chosen fields of study. Dr. Ball oversees a scholarly community that promotes diversity, views learning as the university's primary focus, and offers opportunities for student and faculty research, creative endeavors, and involvement in public service.
