Kemp Library has a NEW online catalog called Primo

What Can I Use Primo For?

You can use Primo just like any online library catalog:

  • Search for print items like books, magazines, and journals that ESU owns or subscribes to.
  • Search for and access full text ebooks and online articles that ESU owns or subscribes to.
  • Request items ESU does not own or subscribe to. Request books through EZ Borrow and articles through Illiad

How do I search Primo?

Searching Primo is very easy. You simply begin typing your search terms into the search box. Primo will try and predict what you are looking for and where to find it. If you are looking for books, articles or other items that ESU owns or subscribes to at the Library, you would want to choose “Library Catalog” during your search. See the screenshot below for a visual example.

How do I find articles?

You can search for articles from all publishers in Primo right now.

You can also go to direct links to database collections and search for articles in them on the Databases A-Z Page or the Databases by Subject Page.

An great place to start for finding peer reviewed articles is Academic Search Complete.

What if I know what database I need to go to and can’t find a link to it in Primo?

If you have any trouble getting to our content through Primo, please check out the Databases A-Z Page or the Databases by Subject Page.

I am having trouble logging in off campus to databases. HELP ME!

If you are having trouble logging into library resources off campus, you can try our Troubleshooting Page. We recommend that you try all of the strategies on this page before contacting Library Staff.

Please Note: Academic Computing DOES NOT deal with any library systems, the library website, or library resources like databases. Any problems with the library website and/or library resources must be directed to Allyson Wind, Electronic Resources Librarian.
