
Course Release Grants
The FDR Course Release Grant is designed to support ESU faculty members conducting an identified research project, creative activity, and/or writing a book or comparable scholarly work that results in an externally-validated product.
Course Release Grant Not Available for Spring 2021.
This grant will be awarded for the period of time while the faculty member conducts their scholarly activity. The total request for the FDR Course Release grant must not exceed $50,000. This is a competitive grant program and a very limited number of course releases will be awarded per year.
Successful applicants will receive release time from teaching one course during one semester of the academic year (fall or spring).
Approval from the applicant’s department chair and dean is required upon applying for a Course Release Grant.
