Posted online is the 2020 Fall Framework develop by the PASSHE Executive Leadership Team, comprised of the 14 state system presidents and Chancellor Greenstein. The document highlights the State System’s approach to re-engaging in face-to-face instruction for the Fall 2020 term in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has made being a Warrior quite a process for all of us and, unfortunately, the challenges for our campus and our students will continue into the unforeseeable future.
ESU has determined that those faculty or staff who wish to seek a flexible work arrangement because of high risk for severe illness from COVID-19 as defined by CDC guidance will need to submit the request, along with any relevant medical and/or other documentation, to Human Resources by close of business on Monday, July 13, 2020. Requests will be validated by HR and then evaluated through a process that is currently being developed through the Office of the President.
Please note that the 2020 Fall Framework is a living document that will be updated as necessary. Although we will work to alert you regarding any changes in the document, I suggest you check back on a regular basis to see what the State System is doing regarding the return to classes for the Fall 2020 term. PASSHE institutions will continue to monitor the status of the pandemic through the rest of the year and beyond if necessary, adjusting this guidance as needed.
