East Stroudsburg University offers students federal and state grant awards. These grant options can be applied to educational expenses and do not require repayment.

Athletic Grant–In–Aid

These funds are awarded in accordance with the intercollegiate athletics and NCAA rules and regulations. Recipients are selected by their Head Coach based upon athletic achievements and abilities.

Federal Pell Grant

Awarded to undergraduate students who have exceptional financial need and who have not earned a bachelor’s, graduate, or professional degree; in some cases, students enrolled in a post baccalaureate teacher certification program may receive a Federal Pell Grant. The maximum annual award changes each academic year and reached $6,095 for the 2018-19 award year. More information on the Federal Pell Grant can be found at the Federal Student Aid website.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

Awarded to undergraduate students who have exceptional financial need and who have not earned a bachelor’s or graduate degree. Federal Pell Grant recipients receive priority.  Each college is awarded a limited supply of this grant and it is best to complete the FAFSA early to be considered. Pennsylvania State Grant (PHEAA)

This program is available to eligible Pennsylvania residents who are enrolled in an eligible undergraduate program of study at a Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) - approved post-secondary institution such as East Stroudsburg University. The award value is determined by PHEAA and is based upon the financial need of the applicant. More information on the Pennsylvania State Grant can be found at the PHEAA website.
