The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate provides undergraduates with the technical skills needed for the analysis of spatial data.
The skills acquired through this program can be applied to a wide variety of career fields such as: Environmental Science, Marine Science, History, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Business, and Education.
Employment opportunities in the GIS field are projected to grow by 35% over the next several years (U.S. Department of Labor).
