Community Concert Band

This ensemble is open to all University and community instrumentalists with previous experience in high school, university/college, or other community bands.

The UCCB enjoys a fine tradition throughout the region for bringing both students and community members together to share the enjoyment of making music.

This group performs standard concert band literature, both new and old, orchestral transcriptions, marches, musical show selections, and a variety of popular music.

The emphasis of the ensemble is on developing musicianship, especially tone, blend, balance, intonation, rhythmic accuracy and sight-reading.

Each semester this ensemble performs a formal campus concert and at commencement ceremony.

The band periodically features guest soloists specializing in their instrumentation and conductors as featured performers at concerts.
