The Health Project Management certificate program provides a foundation in public health training for majors that relate to this area of public health who want to specialize in health project management in their education such as psychology, sociology, social work, criminology, and political science majors.

The Health Project Management certificate program provides a foundation in public health training and would enhance a student's chance of getting into a master's program in Public Health, and also in obtaining a job in a Public Health Department at the city, state and federal level, or a health related organization that deals with a variety of health related problems.

There are grant funded health projects that need to be managed by people who do not have a Public Health background, so they take certificates like this either to enhance their chance of getting hired, or once hired they take them for professional development to enhance their efficacy at their job, or to move up in the organization.

This certificate programs can be taken by students in all majors, including Public Health students.

This certificate program will allow students to show an area of concentration on their transcript.

We encourage all students to consider this certificate as a way to increase knowledge about this areas of study which may lead to work in a Public Health related area.
