Dear ESU Colleagues,
At East Stroudsburg University we have earned a reputation for caring about the communities in which we work and live. We have the opportunity each year to demonstrate our compassion, spirit and institutional commitment to leadership and service by taking part in the State Employees Combined Appeal (SECA). Through SECA, we can help improve the quality of life for those less fortunate.
SECA is the only statewide charitable campaign conducted throughout the Commonwealth's offices. Employees have the opportunity to donate to any of hundreds of participating non-profit charities.
The valuable services these charities provide range from preserving our natural resources to providing assistance to the elderly, finding a cure for cancer or providing shelter for a needy family – in Pennsylvania, across the nation or around the world.
Contributions to SECA can also be designated to support local charities; your money can stay right in Monroe County. There are various options for this, one of which is designating your contribution to the United Way of Monroe County.
The annual campaign runs from September 3 through October 25. Contributions can be made by payroll deductions via Employee Self- Serve (ESS). One time contributions can also be done through the ESS. Please remember that if you do payroll deductions, they must be updated annually in the Employee Self Serve (ESS).
If you have any questions please contact Miguel Barbosa at email@example.com.
Please remember that your participation, on any level, is greatly appreciated. There is no minimum requirement, every dollar helps. Please join me in supporting this very important appeal.
Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D.
