Graduate Intent to Graduate

Application for Graduate Graduation

Candidates for Master or Doctoral degrees must complete and submit this form. If you are applying for 2 degrees, two applications are required.

December Graduation

To be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony and have your name/thesis information listed in the commencement program, the completed application must be submitted to the Graduate office by December 1st. While there is no commencement ceremony held in December, you may choose to participate in the May ceremony with approval of the Graduate Director.

January Graduation

To be eligible to have your degree conferred with the January date, the completed application must be submitted to the Graduate office by December 1st. While there is no commencement ceremony held in January, you may choose to participate in the ceremony held in May with approval of the Graduate Director.

May Graduation

To be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony and have your name/thesis information listed in the commencement program, the completed application must be submitted to the Graduate College by February 9th with approval of the Graduate Director.

August Graduation

To be eligible to have your degree conferred with the August date, the completed application must be submitted to the Graduate office by February 9th. While there is no commencement ceremony held in August, you may choose to participate in the ceremony held in May with approval of the Graduate Director.

**Please keep in mind if you plan to participate in a ceremony (e.g., May) but will be graduating on a different date (e.g., August) you must follow the application submission deadline for the date of the ceremony.
