The Exercise Science Department offers two Graduate programs, an M.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology and an M.S. in Exercise Science. Both programs are accredited by CAAHEP.
The M.S. Clinical Exercise Physiology program is a 45-credit curriculum that provides classroom and laboratory experiences that take full advantage of current knowledge and trends in rehabilitation of populations with cardiac, pulmonary and metabolic disorders through assessment and exercise programming. Students will also gain practical experience in Clinical Exercise Physiology through East Stroudsburg University’s affiliation with eight area medical centers. The program can be completed in one year.
The M.S. in Exercise Science is a 35-credit program available to those students who wish to pursue study of a specialized focus within the body of knowledge underlying Exercise Science. Graduate students experience the Exercise Science sub-disciplines of Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics within our excellent facilities at East Stroudsburg University. Students can choose from two options within the MS Exercise Science, culminating in either a written thesis that is subject to faculty review or by completing an internship in an area allied to Exercise Science. The program can also be completed in one year.
