About the Northeast Wildlife DNA Lab

The laboratory was founded with several missions in mind: carry out multidisciplinary research and education with a strong relationship with outside agencies, provide internship opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students, process evidence from wildlife cases and provide expert testimony in criminal cases investigated by fish and game agencies. Capabilities have been constantly expanding and now include: distinguishing species of mammals, determining gender of mammals, and matching individual identities.

Scientists and Staff

The Northeast Wildlife DNA Laboratory scientists and staff conduct interdisciplinary scientific research. Internship opportunities may be available to current students. Learn about our staff alumni.
