Wayne and Juliana V. Bolt Art Contest

This opportunity is open to high school students in grades 9 - 12. Art submissions should represent this year theme "Dreams are what we hold onto when hope seems bleak but hasn't faded" or represent aspects of Dr. King’s life and his philosophy. Students are encourage to use any form of creative expression, which can include paintings, sculptures, abstract art or any other artistic creation.

Awards are as follows

  • 1st Place: $100 Visa gift card and an ESU spirit wear from Barnes & Noble University Bookstore, and her/his artwork will be displayed on the 2026 MLK Breakfast Program.
  • 2nd Place: $75 Visa gift card and an ESU spirit wear from Barnes & Noble University Bookstore.
  • 3rd Place: $50 Visa gift card and an ESU spirit wear from Barnes & Noble University Bookstore.

Artwork must be delivered to Selena Hines at East Stroudsburg University, Reibman Administration Building, Room 121 no later than Friday, November 8, 2024. Please ensure that the student’s name, address, phone number, school name, and teacher's name are clearly printed on the back of each piece of artwork in legible handwriting. School guidelines are apply and ESU is not responsible for any lost or damaged artwork. Artwork can be picked up the week after the event.
