About Us
The Schisler Museum of Wildlife & Natural History and McMunn Planetarium at East Stroudsburg University is the only science center in the Pocono Mountains region where visitors may enjoy nature and astronomy programming all under one roof.
The Schisler Museum showcases taxidermy specimens and insects from around the globe,
and the McMunn Planetarium features a rotating schedule of more than a dozen full-dome
digital films.
Nearly all of the museum’s taxidermy exhibits were collected and donated by East Stroudsburg University alumni Arthur ’62 and Fannie Greene ’62 Schisler.
The McMunn Planetarium is named in honor of ESU supporters and alumni Charles A. “Tony” ’69 and Patricia Lythgoe ’68 McMunn.
The Schisler Museum and McMunn Planetarium are housed in the Warren E. ’55 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center at East Stroudsburg University.
Schisler Museum and McMunn Planetarium offer a full range of family programming, group visits, birthday parties, and special event rentals.
