The MySuccess Program's goal is to provide resources and knowledge regarding effective use of study habits, aid in developing the skills necessary to adapt to the demands of college-level work, and aid in the retention of students progression through their course work to completion of their degree.

Apps for Success
  • Brightspace Pulse: Brightspace Pulse is a FREE mobile app for students that can help you stay connected and on track with your courses in D2L. Apple & Android apps available.
  • Microsoft To-Do: Keep your to-do list organized, easily create lists and share with others. Break tasks down into simple steps, add due dates, and set reminders to keep you on track. Available through your ESU Office 365 account, including desktop and app-based versions.
  • iTunes U: is a dedicated section of Apple's iTunes Music Store that features educational audio and video files from universities, museums and public media organizations for free download to PCs and mobile devices. Available from iTunes.

  • Mathematica, GeoGebra help with all your math concerns!
  • Photomath: Photomath reads and solves basic math problems using your phone's camera. It does not support handwritten or word-based problems.
  • ESU Math Course Resources - View handouts created to help with your ESU math courses.

  • Khan Academy: A highly interactive site providing over 3,000 free video tutorials and exercises covering a range of subjects--math, biology, chemistry, physics, and much more.
  • Wolfram Alpha: A fundamentally new way to get knowledge and answers--not by searching the web, but by doing dynamic computations based on a vast collection of built-in data, algorithms, and methods. Covers mathematics, words and linguistics, history, science, computational sciences, money and finance, just to name a few.
  • WEBWORK: an open-source online homework system for math and sciences courses, supported by the Mathematical Association of America and the National Science Foundation.
Organizational Resources
  • The Assignment Planner: An online tool to help you manage and locate resources related to research and writing. Enter today's date, and the date your assignment is due, and you will receive a time management calendar with links to resources and target completion dates for each phase of your research project.
  • Evernote: Evernote is a web- and app-based tool that allows you to take notes, create to-do lists, save things you find online, annotate PDFs and pictures, sketch ideas, record audio and sync that information across all devices
  • Scannable: Scannable is a great extension to Evernote which enables you to quickly and beautifully capture documents, images, and business cards. Once captured, you can save to Evernote, DropBox, or email as a PDF. This is especially useful for capturing class handouts or handwritten notes.
  • Headspace: Headspace is a gym membership for the mind. It provides a course of guided meditation, delivered via an app or online
  • Noisli: Noisli helps you improve your focus and boost productivity. Mix different sounds and create your perfect environment
  • GroupMe: The best way to chat with everyone you know!

  • The Purdue Online Writing Lab: This site contains over 200 free resources offering assistance with the writing process, conducting research and appropriate use of grammar and citations.
  • The Writing Center (UNC): A collection of detailed handouts covering all elements of writing: pre-writing, paper development, thesis construction, citations, style, and writing for specific fields.
  • Grammarly: Online grammar checker
  • Google Scholar: Provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature.
  • Easybib: Check your paper for unintentional plagiarism, grammar, spelling errors, and more!
  • Citation Machine: Smart technology to create citations, provide grammar suggestions, and detect unintentional plagiarism
