Welcome Parents and Families!

While at East Stroudsburg University, your Warrior's future career direction will be formed through self-discovery, exploration, and many other important decisions. The Career Development Center is devoted to helping students and alumni in their career development process. From choosing a major to pursing their first professional internship or job, we are here to provide the tools and resources for every step along the way.

  • Offering innovative career planning, job search and employment resources
  • Facilitating lifelong career management and workforce readiness
  • Helping students develop professional skills for success
  • Serving as a central link between students, faculty, employers, and alumni

The Career Development Center offers numerous resources and skill building opportunities for students. Career advisers are available to help students make sense of all of the choices that they will face regarding the career development process.

Support Your Student

Encourage exploration

Encourage your student to try different courses and activities of interest. Through this exploration, your student may discover areas previously unknown.

Support involvement in co-curricular activities

Opportunities to develop or demonstrate leadership, teamwork, organizational and other career-related skills in volunteer positions, internships and student organizations will help your student prepare for the world of work.

Let your student make his/her own choices

Parents may be tempted to steer their students into the direction of “hot” careers, but the reality is that one’s major doesn't necessarily determine career direction. Nor does it guarantee a job. Encourage your student to pursue a career that reflects who they are then success will come.
