Teacher Education Framework

The Teacher Education Unit’s (TEU) Conceptual Framework represents the TEU’s values and beliefs. It provides direction for programs, curricula, instruction, assessment and evaluation.

Within the Conceptual Framework, candidate performance, program quality, and unit operations are designed to promote continuous improvement. The Conceptual Framework is knowledge-based, articulated, shared, coherent, and consistent with both ESU’s Mission and the TEU’s Mission.

The TEU’s Conceptual Framework is comprised of four elements: 1) Mission and Vision; 2) Beginning Educator Outcomes; 3) Candidate Knowledge Base and Learning Cycle; and 4) Assessment Infrastructure and Continuous Improvement.
