Dual Admission (Overview)

East Stroudsburg University has established Dual Admission agreements designed to ensure seamless enrollment from an associate degree program at one of our partnered community colleges into a parallel bachelor's degree program at East Stroudsburg University.

ESU currently maintains Dual Admission Agreements with the following community college partners.

Benefits of Dual Admission

  • Guaranteed admission to ESU in a parallel bachelor's degree program with third year (junior) status on the condition that you meet the GPA and/or course prerequisite requirements of your intended ESU degree program and that the degree program is not at enrollment capacity.
  • Waived ESU Application Fee.
  • An affordable education.
  • Earn your associate and bachelor's degrees from two regionally accredited institutions.

Eligibility

  • Complete the "Dual Admission Intent" form before completing 30 college credits.
  • You plan to earn an associate degree prior to transferring to ESU.
  • Graduate with your associate degree with a minimum 2.00 GPA. If applying to any specialized degree program, you are required to meet the minimum GPA and prerequisites for that degree program.
  • Enroll at ESU within one year of completing your associate degree, unless delayed by lack of capacity at ESU.
  • Do not attend another college or university as a degree seeking student between the time of community college graduation and enrollment at ESU.
Brookdale Community College

The Brookdale CC to ESU Dual Admission program is design to ensure seamless enrollment from Brookdale CC to ESU in the following STEM undergraduate degree programs.

How to Enroll

Contact the Brookdale CC Advising Department located on the 2nd floor of the CAR building (Center for Admissions, Registration and Records) at the Lincroft campus for additional information and advising. You may also reach out to an ESU Transfer Admission Counselor.

Bucks County Community College (BCCC)

The Bucks CCC to ESU Dual Admission program is design to ensure seamless enrollment from Bucks CCC into any of ESU's undergraduate degree programs (excluding Communication Sciences & Disorders and Nursing). Certain degree programs are competitive, and may have limited enrollment capacities.

How to Enroll

Complete the Bucks to ESU Dual Admission Intent form available at the Bucks Advising & Transfer Center, Room 60 Rollins Center; or transfer@bucks.edu. You may also reach out to an ESU Transfer Admission Counselor.

Lehigh Carbon Community College

The Lehigh CCC to ESU Dual Admission program is design to ensure seamless enrollment from LCCC into any of ESU's undergraduate degree programs, excluding Communication Sciences & Disorders and Nursing). Certain degree programs are competitive, and may have limited enrollment capacities.

How to Enroll

Complete the Lehigh CCC to ESU Dual Admission Intent form available at the LCCC Academic Advising Services Office, SSC 124. You may also reach out to an ESU Transfer Admission Counselor.

Luzerne County Community College (LCCC)

The LCCC to ESU Dual Admission program is designed to ensure seamless enrollment from LCCC to ESU in the following academic programs.

How to Enroll

Complete the LCCC to ESU Dual Admission Intent form prior to completing 30 college credits. Contact your LCCC academic adviser, or call LCCC Academic Advising at (570) 740-0451 or (570) 740-0461. You may also reach out to an ESU Transfer Admission Counselor.

Montgomery County Community College (MCCC)

The MC3 to ESU Dual Admission program is designed to ensure seamless enrollment from MC3 into a parallel undergraduate Bachelor's degree program at ES, (excluding Communication Sciences & Disorders and Nursing). Certain degree programs are competitive admission and may have limited enrollment capacities.

How to Enroll

  1. Complete the MC3 to ESU Dual Admission Intent form available at the MC3 Advising & Transfer Office, or you may also contact an ESU Transfer Admission Counselor.
  2. The Dual Admission Intent form must be completed and returned to your MC3 Transfer Adviser.

Northampton Community College (NCC)

The NCC to ESU Dual Admission program is designed to ensure seamless enrollment from NCC into a parallel undergraduate Bachelor's degree program at ESU (excluding Communication Sciences & Disorders and Nursing). Certain degree programs are competitive, and may have limited enrollment capacities.

How to Enroll

  1. Complete the NCC to ESU Dual Admission Intent form available at the NCC Advising & Transfer Office in College Center, 341 or you may also reach out to an ESU Transfer Admission Counselor.
  2. The Dual Admission Intent form must be completed and returned to your NCC Transfer Adviser.
