Policy Statement

Eligible users, as defined below, are permitted to request residence hall lounge and common space for meetings, programs, or other functions related to their organizational purpose for business use only.

For a one-time reservation request, eligible users must obtain a Residence Hall Lounge Reservation form from the appropriate Resident Director or from the Housing and Operations Office.

For repeated/ongoing lounge or common space requests, additional approval must be given by the Community Board of the respective residence hall.

Community Board will render a decision on a request within two weeks.

Appeal Statement:

Groups whose request is not approved may submit a written appeal to the Director of Residential & Dining Services

Definitions:

Common space includes lobbies, main lounges, secondary lounges, kitchen space, recreation rooms, project rooms and conference rooms.

Eligible Users of residence hall lounge and common area space are defined as university funded student clubs and organizations, university employees, affiliates, and other university constituents.
