Priority Registration for Military Service Members Procedures

Procedure Summary

Students who have served in the United States Armed Forces, including a reserve component and National Guard and were discharged or released from such service under conditions other than dishonorable are granted priority registration as required by Pennsylvania Act 46 of 2014. East Stroudsburg University will allow students who are serving in the National Guard, Ready Reserves, and Individual Ready Reserves (IRR) to be given priority registration status.

Process

Students must supply a copy of their DD 214 (Member 4) indicating veteran’s status to the Assistant Director of Veterans Services no later than September 1 for spring registration and February 1 for fall registration.

Students who indicate that they are veterans or serving in the military on their application for admission will be contacted by the ESU Student Veteran Center and asked to provide a copy of their DD 214 (Member 4).

Students who indicate that they are veterans or serving in the military on their FAFSA will be contacted by the ESU Student Veterans Center and asked to provide a copy of their DD 214 (Member 4).

The ESU Student Veteran Center will hold various Veteran related events to allow veterans to self-identify.

Any student who is admitted to the University after the priority registration time will be granted immediate registration status upon deferment or payment of the Advanced Registration Deposit.
