ESU Success Coaches provide individualized academic support designed to help you build
essential skills, strengthen academic confidence, and reach your full academic potential.
Through academic coaching and tailored interventions, we support your transition to
the rigor of higher education while helping you develop a personalized academic success
plan aligned with your degree requirements and long-term goals.
Working collaboratively, Success Coaches partner with you to identify and overcome
academic challenges, clarify next steps, and create a clear pathway from enrollment
through program or course completion. Each student is paired with a Student Success
Coach (SSC) aligned with their college or degree program, who supports all aspects
of the campus experience and provides guidance throughout the journey to degree completion.
Student Success Coaches promote improved academic performance by helping students
develop a growth-oriented mindset, establish effective study habits, strengthen self-advocacy
skills, and build a supportive campus network.
Student Success Coach (SSC) meetings are intentional, student-centered partnerships
designed to foster self-management, persistence, and academic success. In these meetings,
coaches work with students to:
- Strategically access and use campus resources, including Tutoring, Counseling, and
Accommodations
- Navigate the academic and personal transition to college for first-year and transfer
students
- Increase engagement through meaningful campus involvement
- Build productive relationships with faculty and campus partners (e.g., professors,
Residence Life)
- Understand and maintain Financial Aid academic requirements
- Strengthen time management, organization, and planning skills
- Develop and implement personalized strategies to achieve academic and long-term goals
Student Success Coaches track student progress and targeted areas of support using
WarriorFish. Students can visit “My Success Network” in WarriorFish to schedule appointments, connect with their assigned Success Coach, and access campus
support resources.
