Women’s Fraternities and Sororities

The four women’s fraternities and sororities on campus are governed by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), founded locally in 1983. Elected Council officers meet weekly to discuss current issues, advocate for the community, and plan events. Every chapter has delegate representatives who guide the direction of the council.

Alpha Omicron Pi Women’s Fraternity

Alpha Omicron Pi Women’s FraternityWe enjoy serving our community and campus whenever we can. Our sub motto is "Prepare to Serve and Build Character." Our philanthropy is Juvenile Arthritis, and we strive to raise as much money and awareness as we can for this wonderful cause throughout the academic school year.

Alpha Sigma Tau SororityThe purpose of Alpha Sigma Tau is to promote the ethical, cultural, and social development of its members. Our national philanthropy is the Women's Wellness Initiative in which we stand for Women's Empowerment.

Lambda Iota Sorority

Lambda Iota SororityLambda Iota is a local community driven sorority. Through our sisterhood and services to others, we strengthen the bonds of loyalty, sentiment, and friendship among its members. We take pride in growing a sisterhood that empowers one another no matter our differences. We work diligently in our philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness, to raise money and awareness through various fundraisers and annual events. Our Cookout for Cancer, Gameshow, and our dodgeball tournament are all sister led. We are individually unique, but together through our work and dedication, we are complete.

Delta Chi Fraternity

Delta Chi FraternityOur Fraternity follows four core values, Promoting Friendship, Developing Character, Advancing Justice, and Assisting in the Acquisition of a Sound Education. We take pride in our community service, philanthropy, and our brotherhood. Our Philanthropy is the Jimmy V Foundation. We host annual philanthropy events liked Shave-A-Delta and Dye-A-Chi; where brothers all shave or dye their heads after we reach a set amount goal! We also participate in things like Relay for Life and actively do Street Cleans for Community Service.

Culturally Based Fraternal Organizations

The organizations recognized by the Cultural Greek Council (CGC) are comprised of national organizations that are historically based upon African American, Hispanic, Asian or Multi-ethnic culture. Four men’s and two women’s organizations are represented at ESU. The council was founded on March 8, 2018.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.Kappa Alpha Psi is a historically black fraternity that was born and bred due to an environment saturated in racism. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  attempts to achieve not only in school, community as well as their own personal growth due to the prejudice and discrimination that they face. Hence their motto: Achievement in every field of human endeavor.
