Women’s Fraternities and Sororities
The four women’s fraternities and sororities on campus are governed by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), founded locally in 1983. Elected Council officers meet weekly to discuss current issues, advocate for the community, and plan events. Every chapter has delegate representatives who guide the direction of the council.
Alpha Omicron Pi Women’s Fraternity
We enjoy serving our community and campus whenever we can. Our sub motto is "Prepare
to Serve and Build Character." Our philanthropy is Juvenile Arthritis, and we strive to raise as much money and awareness as we can for this wonderful
cause throughout the academic school year.

Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority
The purpose of Alpha Sigma Tau is to promote the ethical, cultural, and social development
of its members. Our national philanthropy is the Women's Wellness Initiative in which
we stand for Women's Empowerment.

Lambda Iota Sorority
Lambda Iota is a local community driven sorority. Through our sisterhood and services
to others, we strengthen the bonds of loyalty, sentiment, and friendship among its
members. We take pride in growing a sisterhood that empowers one another no matter
our differences. We work diligently in our philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness,
to raise money and awareness through various fundraisers and annual events. Our Cookout
for Cancer, Gameshow, and our dodgeball tournament are all sister led. We are individually
unique, but together through our work and dedication, we are complete.

Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority
More than a sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma is a transformative and inclusive space where
women build lifelong friendships, learn to navigate and excel in today's ever-changing
landscape, and inspire meaningful change in the world. A lifelong sisterhood, Tri
Sigma is dedicated to service, education, and leadership development. Empowering women
since 1898, the sorority's guiding values are wisdom, power, faith, hope, and love.
Tri Sigma gives back through our national philanthropy, the March of Dimes.

Men’s Fraternal Organizations

Delta Chi Fraternity
Our Fraternity follows four core values, Promoting Friendship, Developing Character,
Advancing Justice, and Assisting in the Acquisition of a Sound Education. We take
pride in our community service, philanthropy, and our brotherhood. Our Philanthropy
is the Jimmy V Foundation. We host annual philanthropy events liked Shave-A-Delta
and Dye-A-Chi; where brothers all shave or dye their heads after we reach a set amount
goal! We also participate in things like Relay for Life and actively do Street Cleans
for Community Service.

Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity
The brothers of the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity pride ourselves by holding each brother
to the highest of standards. This mindset has given us the nickname the "Gentlemen
Fraternity". We strive every day to live by our open motto: Honor Super Omnia which
means Honor above all things. We try to go above and beyond, every day, to display
honor at all levels.

Sigma Pi Fraternity
Our goal is to encourage young men who are looking to get more out of their lives,

Culturally Based Fraternal Organizations
The organizations recognized by the Cultural Greek Council (CGC) are comprised of national organizations that are historically based upon African American, Hispanic, Asian or Multi-ethnic culture. Four men’s and two women’s organizations are represented at ESU. The council was founded on March 8, 2018.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Kappa Alpha Psi is a historically black fraternity that was born and bred due to an
environment saturated in racism. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. attempts to achieve
not only in school, community as well as their own personal growth due to the prejudice
and discrimination that they face. Hence their motto: Achievement in every field of
human endeavor.

Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc.
The "Unmatched" Maguana chapter of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity Inc., a
historically (but not exclusively) Latino fraternity, was chartered at East Stroudsburg University to promote academic
excellence, cultural awareness and diversity, brotherhood, and being a role models
in their community. Their motto is: Latinos Siempre Unidos (Latinos Always United)

Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc.
The “Illustrious” Ionia chapter of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority Inc., the first historically
multicultural sorority, was chartered at East Stroudsburg University by three women
who wanted to uphold the vision of MSU goals and more. The founders of the Ionia Chapter
led the way for organizations looking to break ground and revive chapters of other
walks of life onto campus.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
The brothers of Phi Beta Sigma, a historically black fraternity, are the Fraternity’s
most valuable resource and strength. They are the primary means by which the Phi Beta
Sigma objectives will be achieved. In order to accomplish the Fraternity’s objectives,
it is essential that systems are instituted that effectively embody “Culture For Service
and Service For Humanity” and promote brotherhood, scholarship and service.

The Sorority's international programs such as Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel)

black sorority, it espouses the highest academic ideals and that has resulted in its
members serving in groundbreaking roles in all fields of endeavor.
