The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program will offer free, confidential tax preparation services at East Stroudsburg University, Kemp Library, from February 16, 2026 through April 18, 2026.
Eligibility: Household income approximately $60,000–$67,000. Services are available to individuals who are low to moderate income, age 60 or older, have a disability, or have limited English proficiency.
Services Provided: Federal, Pennsylvania, and local tax returns; W‑2 income; certain 1099 income (interest, unemployment, retirement); education credits; Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); Child Tax Credit (CTC); and PA‑1000 Property Tax/Rent Rebate (select cases).
Services Not Provided: Rental property income, complex self‑employment or business expenses, cancellation of debt, housing allowances, or complex investment transactions.
What to Bring: Photo ID; Social Security card or ITIN for all taxpayers; all W‑2s and 1099s; prior‑year tax return (if available); bank routing and account number for direct deposit; and Form 1095‑A if you had Marketplace health insurance.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:00–9:00 PM; Sunday 2:30 – 10:30 PM (additional hours may be added).
