Room Selection

“Room Selection” is a live, three-week process where continuing students select their own rooms for next year.  

Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are live in your ESU portal now, and you can match with a roommate(s) ahead of the process going live. You must apply before the process begins.

Here is the schedule for this year:

The process is different from incoming students. Here are the differences:

New Incoming Fall 2026 Students:

• Complete the application
• Request a specific hall and/or room type
• Use My College Roomie to match with a roommate
• Are automatically assigned housing

Continuing Students:

• Complete the application
• Use on-line Room Selection process to match with a roommate
• Must select the room they want during Room Selection Weeks
• Are NOT automatically assigned housing

Required to Live On Campus: 

If you are under 21 years old or have earned less than 60 credits, you must live on campus for two years—unless you commute from a parent or guardian’s home within 45 miles of campus.
