Fostering Warriors
Foster Care and Homelessness
ESU is committed to assisting students inside and outside the classroom with overcoming challenges that they may face. We know that success looks different for every student and that is shaped by their experiences, goals, access to resources, and needs.
We are here to help!
If you are a student who currently or formerly has experienced foster care or are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, please reach out to a trusted adult on campus.
There are programs and supports in place to provide support, assistance, and to help with finding the resources needed to keep you on your path to success.
Are you not sure who to talk to?
Talking about our personal situations is not always easy. The faculty and staff of the Health and Wellness Center are here to help you.
The case manager is on staff to help you get connected to University and community resources (food, housing, funding, medical, etc).
The Counseling Center is available to help talk about your feelings, thoughts, and how you cope.
The Prevention and Education Team is here to provide information and skills on how to remain safe and healthy while at college, provide resources (such as condoms!), and help students get involved in awareness and social activities.
Stop in or shoot an email to set up a meeting to discuss how we can connect with you!
