Round Two: Business Venture Profile
Round Two of the Warrior Startup Challenge focuses on the Business Venture Profile, a structured written submission designed to evaluate the strength, clarity, and viability of each student’s business idea.
The Round Two submission is due at midnight on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Students advancing to Round Two must complete and submit the Business Venture Profile in full by the deadline to remain eligible for the competition.
Submission Format & Scoring
The Business Venture Profile consists of 10 required sections, each worth 10 points, for a total possible score of 100 points.
- Each section is limited to 500 words, with the exception of the One Line Pitch, which must be a single sentence.
- Submissions will be completed directly through the online form. Students are encouraged to draft responses in advance before entering them into the system.
Required Sections
Students must address all ten (10) topics listed below:
- One Line Pitch - Describe your business idea in one clear sentence.
- Business Executive Summary - Provide a high-level overview of your business idea, including the product or service, the market opportunity, and the overall concept.
- Product Line - Describe the products and/or services your business offers or plans to offer.
- Customer Problem & Target Market - Identify the problem your business is solving and clearly define your target customer.
- Marketing Strategy & Sales - Explain how you plan to reach your customers and generate sales. This may include marketing channels, outreach strategies, and pricing considerations.
- Competitive Advantage - Identify your competitors and explain what differentiates your business. What makes your product or service stand out?
- Achievements to Date - Outline what you have accomplished so far, such as market research, customer discovery, prototypes, funding, branding, or web development.
- Management Team - Describe the founder(s) and leadership team and their ability to execute and manage the business.
- Revenue & Cost Structure - Provide a budget narrative outlining anticipated revenue streams and major expenses, including operational and personnel costs.
- Other - Share any additional information you believe is important for judges to consider when evaluating your business idea.
