Dna Lab

The Dr. Jane Huffman Wildlife Genetics Institute (DNA Lab) is located int he ESU Innovation Center, just east of the campus of East Stroudsburg University.

The laboratory is a full service genetic lab of the Department of Biological Sciences and is housed within a separate and secure building.

We utilize state–of–the–art genotyping equipment which is maintained in a controlled and secure environment.

Staff professionals provide services to determine and differentiate genetic variation within and among populations and species of wildlife for biological and forensic applications.

We are capable of working with our customers from project development through data analysis and reporting.

About the Dr. Jane Huffman Wildlife Genetics Institute

The melding of staff at the laboratory and the faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences provides the experience and knowledge base that gives the laboratory the "tools" needed to help clients succeed with their wildlife genetic projects.

The Northeast Wildlife DNA Laboratory focuses on scientific research in the areas of Lyme disease, tickborne pathogens, wildlife forensics and population genetics.

Our mission is to provide interdisciplinary research opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students.
