The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) is in the process of implementing a common student information system (SIS) across all PASSHE universities and campuses. The single SIS is being referred to as OneSIS. This collaboration, part of PASSHE's System Redesign, will support cross-registration and academic sharing among the PASSHE institutions while still allowing for a high level of university autonomy.

Further information and answers to frequently asked questions can be found below.

General Information

The SIS chosen by PASSHE - Banner - is already in use at ESU. This means the campus community will see minimal changes as a result of OneSIS. ESU is migrating all student and course information to a new instance of Banner, called OneSIS Banner. This is the version of Banner shared by all PASSHE schools. The transition from our current instance of Banner - now called Legacy Banner - to OneSIS Banner begins for the fall 2025 semester.

ESU will run Legacy Banner and OneSIS Banner simultaneously throughout the transition period. Students, faculty, and staff will continue to use Legacy Banner and the MyESU portal to access information for Summer 2025 and prior terms while all information for Fall 2025 and thereafter will be contained in OneSIS Banner and the Warriors Connect portal. During the transition, Warriors Connect will display an updated splash screen with sign-on options based on whether the user is accessing information for semesters prior to Fall 2025 or Fall 2025 and beyond. The chosen sign-on path will determine whether the user accesses Legacy MyESU or OneSIS Warriors Connect.

The transition to a shared SIS also brings a few minor changes to how some student and course information is coded to ensure all PASSHE schools align. Notably, all Banner ID numbers will change from 000 numbers to P numbers. In addition, all PASSHE universities now share subject codes to help facilitate cross-registration. While most ESU subject codes will remain the same, some will change starting Fall 2025. You can find a complete list of subject code changes in the New Subject Codes accordion.

Legacy Banner and OneSIS Banner are two separate instances of Banner. While every effort is being made to copy all information from Legacy Banner to OneSIS Banner, it does not happen automatically. This means administrative staff who use Banner must make changes in both systems throughout the transition period to ensure accurate information is available at all times.

Because the MyESU and Banner platforms remain the same regardless of which instance the user accesses, MyESU and all Banner modules contained within the portal will function as they do currently. With a few exceptions, all processes and procedures related to Banner will also remain the same, including course registration steps, midterm and final grading, and most administrative tasks.

Student FAQs

If you are accessing information pertinent to any terms prior to Fall 2025, use Legacy MyESU; Fall 2025 and thereafter must be accessed through OneSIS Warriors Connect. At this time, certain information or applications may not be available in Wariors Connect. This includes but is not limited to the Fall 2025 schedule (will be available March 3) and Degree Works Audits which will be available in March.

Whereas ESU previously had its own student information system with its own unique Banner ID numbers, all general person records in the PASSHE system are now contained within OneSIS Banner. The ID number scheme chosen for the OneSIS Banner assigns all records a P number – this is the letter P followed by eight digits. The eight digits will be different from your current ID number.

For the Fall 2025 semester, all ID numbers will switch to the new P numbers.

Access Warriors Connect and select your MyProfile Card. Your P number will be listed at the top of the page alongside your name.

ESU is not requiring current students to obtain a new ID card. The ID card you have now will continue to work as normal. If you lose or want to replace your current student ID card, a replacement can be obtained from the ID Office for $20.00.

Faculty/Advisor FAQs

If you are accessing information pertinent to any terms prior to Fall 2025, use Legacy MyESU; Fall 2025 and thereafter must be accessed through OneSIS ESU. At this time, certain information or applications may not be available in OneSIS ESU. This includes but is not limited to the Fall 2025 schedule (will be available March 3rd) and ESU Audits will be available in March.

OneSIS versions of ESU Audits will not be available until March. If the student is a current ESU student, you can still access updated audits through Legacy MyESU.

Using Legacy MyESU, use the Student Search feature to view a student's Degree Works Audit or unofficial transcript to determine if a student has passed or is currently taking your course's prerequisite.

Through Warriors Connect, navigating to the Faculty Dashboard. If you are the student's primary adviser, you can also find individual PINs by using the Student Search feature in Warriors Connect. When viewing a specific student's profile, their PIN will be listed under "Registration Notices" in the upper-right corner. Only primary academic advisers can view PINs this way

Staff FAQs

On the MyESU login splash screen, select Warriors Connect Portal to access One SIS banner. Select the MyESU Portal to access Legacy Banner.

Enter the four-digit year followed by the correct two-digit term code below (e.g. 202530 for Fall 2025).

  • XXXX10 – Spring
  • XXXX20 – Summer
  • XXXX30 – Fall
  • XXXX40 – Winter

If the data you are modifying is for Spring or Summer 2025, continue to use Legacy Banner. All data for Fall 2025 and forward must be modified in OneSIS Banner. You must enter the following data in both Legacy and OneSIS banner:

Advisers - SGAADVR Student Attributes - SGASADD Test Scores - SOATEST

This data is not be part of any planned data migration, so dual entry is required to ensure the data is accurate in both systems. For example, if you are changing a current student's adviser for Spring 2025, you must do so in both Legacy Banner and then repeat the process in OneSIS Banner for Fall 2025. Keeping all data updated in both systems will help ensure a smooth transition.

In OneSIS Banner, access the GUISRCH screen and enter their legacy ID number in the Additional ID field. Select GO. If there is a match, their name and P number will be displayed.
COGNOS Reports

Operational reports for Spring and Summer 2025 will still be run out of Legacy Banner and the current Cognos reporting tool. You may continue to use Cognos through the Legacy ESU login for these terms.

Transition for Student Information System ESU Communication - February 2025.

East Stroudsburg University is transitioning its student information system this year. Located within the MyESU portal, this system known internally as Banner is used for student directory information, course registration, grade submissions and other administrative tasks.

What Will Change? ESU is still using Banner, so the functionality and modules will remain the same, but there will be a new version and how people access the system beginning with information related to the Fall 2025 semester.

During the transition: “OneSIS Banner” will be used for Fall 2025 and beyond and “Legacy Banner” is for all information prior to Fall 2025.

OneSIS Banner and Warriors Connect will go live for students, faculty, and staff in March so that Fall 2025 student and course information can be accessed before course registration in April. After the transition is complete in the fall, all information from before Fall 2025 will be migrated from Legacy to OneSIS.

Legacy: If you are accessing information for Spring 2025, Summer 2025, or prior semesters, use the sign-on path for “Semesters Prior to Fall 2025.”

OneSIS: If you are accessing information for Fall 2025, use the sign-on path for “Semesters Fall 2025 and beyond.”

MyESU and all Banner modules contained within the portal will function the same, regardless of which version is used. Degree Works Audits will also look the same.

This move to OneSIS Banner is part of a System Redesign within Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education to use the same software and more efficient processes across all state-owned universities. PASSHE chose Banner, which ESU has been using since Fall 2011. This means ESU will experience minimal changes aside from the temporary separate login during the transition.

There are other updates, such as Banner IDs changing from those beginning with “000” to “P,” effective Fall 2025, but the Academic Records Office will share more details in future emails this semester. Also, staff who maintain information contained within Banner will be required to update information in both instances of Banner for a period of time.

ESU is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.
