Apply to Graduate

Graduate students who anticipate receiving their master’s or doctoral degrees will need to complete the Graduate application available on the Graduation Card on your Warriors Connect . Prior to submitting your application; ensure your Plan of Study, all major/concentration update request(s) have been completed.

Deadlines to declare your intent to graduate:

• Fall 2025: December 1
• January 2026: December 1
• Spring 2026 (May and August**): February 10

**The university holds commencement exercises at the end of the spring semester. The ceremonies will be for all students graduating December 2025, January 2026, May 2026, and August 2026 who are approved to walk in May, and are registered for their final summer courses to complete their degree requirements.

Your "Intent to Graduate" application initiates your graduation clearance process. The Graduate office begins working with your Graduate Coordinator to review and finalize your degree requirements.

Late submission of your graduation application will delay the graduation clearance process and may delay your degree conferral. We cannot guarantee that your name will appear in the commencement program although every effort will be made to do so.

Federal Stafford Loan recipients must complete Financial Aid Exit Counseling prior to graduation.

Application for Graduate Graduation

Candidates for Master or Doctoral degrees must declare their intent to graduate by submitting their graduation application. If you are applying for 2 degrees, two applications are required.

The application is available in the Warriors Connect Portal, Graduation Card.

December Graduation

To be eligible to have your degree conferred with the December date, the completed application must be submitted by December 1st. 

January Graduation

To be eligible to have your degree conferred with the January date, the completed application must be submitted by December 1st. 

May Graduation

To be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony and have your name/thesis information listed in the commencement program, the completed application must be submitted by February 10th. 

August Graduation

To be eligible to have your degree conferred with the August date, the completed application must be submitted by February 10th.

Commencement Exercises
