Mission

The mission of The Center for Research & Economic Development, Inc. is to create regional wealth through entrepreneurial initiatives, research, and workforce training.

Purpose

The Center for Research & Economic Development, incorporated on March 30, 1999, is a private, nonprofit, 501(c) 3 created to benefit East Stroudsburg University. The Center is the principal economic development and research extension of the University focusing on entrepreneurial innovation, applied research, and workforce training.

The Center provides a multidisciplinary team of university faculty, staff and students, in addition to outside experts and consultants to address the research and economic development goals and objectives of local, regional, national and international corporations, businesses, industries, organizations, governmental and educational partners.
