With a background in engineering, business and economics, I enjoy teaching analytically oriented economics courses. My research interests are primarily in the area of applied econometric analysis with a policy focus.
Teaching Interest
Economics explains how businesses and individuals make meaningful choices based on incentives. I enjoy teaching courses such as Personal Finance, Labor Economics, Modern Economic Issues, and Senior Seminar to show how cost-benefit analysis can be used to explain human behavior.
Research Interest
My research interests are primarily in the areas of Labor Economics such as education, employment, earnings, and income inequality. My research focuses on applied econometric analysis that lead to improved policy outcomes.

Research Interest
I am the Director of BERG, the Business and Economic Research Group at ESU, and along with Professors Pattabiriaman Neelakantan and Constatinos Christofides have worked on numerous funded research grants from the Brookings Institution; Center for Rural Pennsylvania; National Education Association; Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency; the United States Department of Justice, and state and local economic development agencies.
Service
Each September, beginning in 2014, BERG has presented an Economic Scorecard at the University's Economic Symposium. Monroe County is compared to the state and ranked with seven counties in our region in a number of economic statistics divided into six categories.

In the past I have been an advisor to the Economics Club and to E-News, the semi-annual student economic newsletter.
