I teach undergraduate hospitality courses, especially those focusing on culinary arts, beverage management, and restaurant operations. I am fascinated by wine and enjoy blind tasting. I have 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, on both sides of the kitchen door. I am also the faculty advisor for the Hospitality and Tourism Management Club.

Professor Barrett is currently the President & CEO of Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB). He has over 35 years of management, executive and leadership experience.

Chris was Executive Vice President/COO/CFO for Target Media and Target Digital, a leading east coast media and advertising firm headquartered in Harrisburg, PA. Prior to Target Media and Target Digital he held multiple senior management roles ranging from sales and marketing to theme park operations with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts for over twenty years.

Professor Yongwook “Yong” Ju combines real-world experience in the hospitality industry with data-driven research and student-centered teaching. Before joining academia, he held a variety of hospitality roles, including serving as a general manager at a mid-scale hotel. His experience across hotel operations, from front desk to banquet services, allows him to connect classroom concepts to real industry practice.

In the classroom, Professor Ju emphasizes applied learning, analytics, and critical thinking, thereby helping students develop practical skills that translate directly to careers in hospitality and tourism. His research examines how guests think, feel, and make decisions, with a focus on service quality and hospitality marketing. He also applies business analytics techniques, such as sentiment analysis and topic modeling, to better understand consumer behavior in the hospitality industry. His work has been published in leading hospitality journals and presented at international conferences.
