
Hardship Grant Policy
Policy Statement
The University will provide a pre-determined number of grants annually to Pennsylvania residents, who are degree-seeking undergraduate students with demonstrated need as determined by the information in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Application for Hardship Grants may be made through the Student Enrollment Center.
Graduate students are not eligible for this Hardship Grant.

Definitions
Hardship- a temporary situation in which the student is unable to afford tuition and fees due to economic difficulties that places their continued education in jeopardy.
Grant - money that is not repaid. For this purpose, the Student Hardship Grant is not a cash award.
Last Dollar - are final funds that are awarded against a student's upcoming semester bill.
All other aid - federal and state grants, Direct, Plus and private loans, external and other institutional scholarship - must have been awarded prior to the receipt of the Student Hardship Grant.
Tuition & Fees - included charges for tuition, general, instructional and transportation fees, on-campus room and board.
