ESU’s Alliance of Professionals in Industry Tuition Discount Program (API)

East Stroudsburg University (ESU) is pleased to offer a tuition discount opportunity to working professionals employed at select companies and organizations as well as public service.

Entities (e.g., corporations, professional associations, non-profit organizations, civil service, etc.) participating in the API Discount Program are industry leading employers committed to innovation, building diverse teams of talent, and improving our local communities.

All partner employers have pledged, through their participation in the API Tuition Discount Program, to promote discounted learning opportunities at ESU as a benefit to their current employees.

About ESU

ESU offers 58 undergraduate programs, 21 master's programs, and 2 doctoral programs at convenient locations in the Poconos and Lehigh Valley. We have both full and part-time study options, and an increasing number of face-to-face classes are offered evenings and weekends to better accommodate the schedules of working professionals. In addition, ESU continues to increase its portfolio of hybrid and online learning options. We pride ourselves on maintaining comparatively high levels of convenience and flexibility for working adults.

API Tuition Discount Program Eligibility

All employees must first apply for admission and be accepted to ESU in order to enroll in classes as ESU students and be eligible to receive consideration for tuition discounts of 10%. In addition, any and all previous balances owed to East Stroudsburg University by employees must be paid in full prior to receiving consideration for API tuition discount eligibility.

For each term (i.e., fall, winter, spring, summer) of study, students (i.e., employees of API partner employers) must provide verification of current and active employment with an ESU API partner employer (i.e., documented evidence clearly indicating concurrent employment at the time of enrollment) to the Office of Student Billing on or before the scheduled bill payment due date for classes of that term.

Employment verification is satisfied only with a fully completed employer specific “10% Tuition Discount Certification Form” for each employee.

Current API Employer Partners include:

  • Lehigh Valley Health Network
  • St. Luke’s University Health Network
