ESU is the only educator preparation program in Northeast Pennsylvania accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and partners with 40+ local school districts to provide real classroom experience. Learned Skills
- Develop evidence-based teaching strategies for today’s classrooms.

Internships & Training
- Complete 1,000+ hours of mentored classroom experience.
- Begin field placements in your first semester in local school districts.
- Progress through four stages of practice-based clinical learning.
- Work with experienced mentor teachers and education leaders.
- Finish with a 15-week full-time student teaching capstone.
Career Opportunities
- Teach as a PK–12 classroom educator across multiple grade levels.
