Merit Based Institutional Scholarships
ESU institutional scholarships range from $1,000 to Full-Tuition Awards for Spring 2024!
The Office of Admissions automatically reviews candidates for merit award eligibility during the admission application process. If eligible for a merit-based scholarship, you will receive a scholarship notice following your acceptance. All merit scholarship amounts will be included in your financial aid award letter.
Scholarships are provided on a funds-available basis, so apply for admission early.

Renewal Criteria
You can earn this scholarship every year by earning 30 credits per academic year with a qualifying GPA.
Transfer Student Scholarships
Incoming transfer students could be eligible based on their academic profile

From $1000 to $6000 yearly scholarship

You can earn this scholarship every year by earning 30 credits per academic year with a qualifying GPA.
Pocono Promise (Need-Based Grant)
Incoming Pell and Pennsylvania State Grant (PA St. Grt.) eligible freshmen and transfer
students.

No Need to Apply! You are automatically considered when your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and your PHEAA applications (PA state application required) are submitted to ESU and processed. If you haven't done so already, please complete the FAFSA to be eligible for ESU scholarships. Late applicants will be considered on a funds-available basis.
International Merit Based Scholarships
Incoming International freshman and transfer students could be eligible based on their
academic profile.

Band Audition Scholarship
All first-time Pennsylvania students who join the Warrior Marching Band.
