Hola! I'm Denahgi, commonly mistaken for Digiorno frozen pizza. I am a junior and a biochemistry major with an unofficial pre-medicine concentration. I am also a sister of Lambda Iota. Typically my days consist of running from class to class, drinking too much red bull, and going to the gym; but mainly drinking too much red bull (I do not recommend). I'm from Binghamton NY, which is a little bit of drive, but it's always so worth it. When I'm not studying or in class, I like long walks to Starbucks, or sweating in the gym. I'm pretty simple, I like to keep my life drama free and I think my best moments are listening to 2000's throwbacks. I cannot wait to watch the incoming class grow and glow with me this year!

Hi, I'm Nina! In the fall of 2018 I'll be a senior. I'm a Speech Pathology major with a minor in Psychology. I have several interests including writing poetry, drawing, and singing. I am the secretary for the poetry club on campus called the Living Poet Society and we are involved in events all the time! I also love to participate in ESU's Drag Show every year, so come see me during Homecoming Week! I’m always going to social events on campus. I love having people to talk to. I also love so many different types of music so I'll usually have my headphones in, but you can never have enough friends, so if you see me around, don't be afraid to say hi!

My name is Tahj Fuller, I’m from Chichester, Pennsylvania and my major is Exercise Science with a focus in Pre-therapeutic science. I’m a former football player that dealt with lots of injuries that has prohibited me from playing again. I’ve since joined Delta Chi Fraternity. Hello Warriors! I'm Kaitlyn and I am a fourth year student here at ESU! My major is Rehabilitative and Human Services. I transferred to ESU for the fall 2017 semester and I have no regrets! My activities I am involved with include Warrior Mentors, Sign Language Club, Rehabilitative Services Student Organization, and Tau Sigma National Honor Society for Transfer Students. In my spare time, you can find me video chatting with my twin sister, binge watching Glee, and eating chocolate covered anything (Well, maybe not everything. I love chocolate!) Volunteering is a big part of my life. In my days, I have volunteered with Salvation Army, Special Olympics, and I was a volunteer counselor at a special needs camp in Windsor, New York! In between my classes, study schedule, and homework, I am also the president of a LGBTQA organization on campus known as PRIDE. Other things I like to do during my downtime includes just hanging out with friends, drawing, writing, and playing video games. I'm also a bit of a nerd and I love talking about science and things! I have worked at Chipotle Mexican Grill for three years so I can roll a pretty nice burrito. I plan to go to Ghana this summer and this will be my first time out the country. Hello WARRIORS! My name is Ty'Liah Lawrence, I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently, I am a senior majoring in Public Health with a concentration in Health Service Administration and soon to be minoring in Business Management. My favorite things to do is have down time with my close friends and also going out and having an amazing time is my style. I like going out to eat, seeing a good movie or even going to bowl. I am a member of the Xplosion Step Team, which I enjoy doing very much. Stepping is one of the best things I have done at ESU. I'm also a Facilitator for Diversity Dialogue Project, being a facilitator helps me bring students together in a comfortable environment to talk about things like race, culture, diversity, politics, gender and many more things. Being a facilitator is amazing because I like meeting new people and learning their perspective of these different topics. I am also the chartering Vice President of National Council of Negro Women, which is an organization that gives me a sense of foundation and belonging. Aside for NCNW, I am a member of the NAACP. Being your mentor will be a growing process for you and myself as well, being that I am still a student with a lot more to learn. One thing that I can assure you is that I will by all means help you get to where you need to be as a wonderful student and help you accomplish many of your goals.

I was ranked #6 in my group for running. I have 9 siblings, and I don’t like animals. This fall, I will be working at the rec. I am originally from Uganda, but have lived in the United States for close to two decades primarily in the north east. I currently live in Mount Pocono, PA with my nine-year old elementary schooler. I have traveled to every continent except Australia. I am much attuned to our diversity as persons, and the diversity of the world around us. I pay great attention to language, and how I address others, cognizant that everyone deserves recognition and respect. I am very adventurous, outdoorsy, love traveling, marathon running, volunteering, social network, and inspiring others.

I'm a member of Xpolosion step team and a member of The East Stroudsburg University Collegiate Section of the National Council of Negro Women. My hobbies include running track, playing softball and cheerleading. I'm a Libra and my favorite color is pink. Hey guys! My name is Makayla, or Mak for short. I am 21 years old and entering my senior year at ESU as an early education major. I intend to work after getting my bachelors, and eventually getting my masters in higher education – student affairs. Some important things about me are that I love movies and music, I’m from Philly, and I’m a Pisces! My favorite movies include: Silence of the Lambs, Dope, Moana, and anything Marvel. Some of my favorite musicians are Beyoncé (of course!!), Kehlani, Gucci Mane, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Willow Smith, SZA, H.E.R., and many more. I could talk about music all day honestly. I try to be as active on campus as I possibly can, so that means I am involved in a couple organizations. I am the founding vice president of NU Colors, the secretary of Residence Hall Association (RHA), the treasurer of the French Club, and I am in National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). On top of being Lead Mentor, I work in Reibman Admissions Building, and I am a facilitator for the Diversity Dialogue Project on campus, so this means my resources to help you and everyone else stem even farther than my position as a Mentor. I am passionate about social justice and am involved with the Diversity and Inclusion Committee here on campus as well. I love helping others and being a mentor has been one of the greatest opportunities of my college career. I can’t wait to meet you all and to get through your first semester together!

Hello, future warrior! My name is Elisa Medina. I enjoy meeting new people, and love to learn a lot about their backgrounds. As for my background, I am a Mexican-American who was born in Los Angeles, CA, but I was raised in Reading, PA since I was about five years old. I’m currently a senior majoring in Early Childhood Education. I wish to teach in my own classroom very soon. I’m interested in teaching out of state, and in the urban districts (If you ask me why, expect me to get extremely passionate). I take each experience, and try to relate to previous ones to help me become a better instructor, and person overall. Since I was a freshman, I’ve managed to learn so much about ESU and myself. My name is Megan Parks and I am from Kutztown, Pennsylvania. I am going to be a junior here at ESU. I am a nursing major with the hope of being a trauma nurse, once I graduate. I love to participate in intramural sports at the rec center and attend as many sporting events as possible. I am a sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority here on campus. Hello my name is Samantha Peck and I’m currently a sophomore here on campus. I am a Special Education/ Middle Education major here at ESU. I’m actively involved in the after school program Rockets that’s held on campus. I also have an on campus job as a tour guide but at home I have 2 different jobs.  I love to be involved in athletic events either by watching them or actively participating. I am a proud volunteer mentor because I like to help others out and make transitioning into college easier for them as they start their new adventure at college. Hey, my name is Natash Rodrigues and a fun fact about me is that I am Brazilian; I can speak 2 languages. I have 2 jobs, one is a campus job and it is a special desk receptionist at the Sycamore suit, and the other is Red Lobster. I live in the traditional hall, Linden Hall, and I am a floor rep and part of the community board. I am involved in all my halls socials and I usually volunteer to help if needed and if I am able to do it. I like to go to the gym and watch Netflix. I am proud to be a volunteer because it helps me grow and I can obtain skills and knowledge. Best part about being involve is having fun and making memories at ESU.

What’s going on everybody my name is Kenya Thompson, but you can call me “Scoot”, everyone does. I major in communication broadcast, with that I hope to continue to be an “on air personality” which is a radio host. I listen to all different types of genres from this century to the ones before us. I currently have a radio show called “Scootin’ Thru Time, Just Blazin’”. I am apart of multiple organizations, here are goes a quick list: the National Council of Negro Women, Diversity and Inclusion committee, and Diversity committee.
