Our East Stroudsburg University, our fraternities and sororities are governed by the College Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, and Cultural Greek Council. All governing councils focus on strengthening the Greek community through community service and philanthropic efforts. Our councils actively participate in Special Olympics, Relay for Life, Project Turkey, the Pink Light Walk among many other projects and events.
Our councils also work together to plan Greek Week, a week-long program filled with friendly competition where each organization utilizes each of their member's strengths to compete against the other organizations. Greek Week encompasses Relay Races, Penny Wars, Trivia, Greek Sing and a community service project.
College Panhellenic Council (Panhel)
The sororities under College Panhellenic Council stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of their ability, the college community. As sorority women, the members stand for service through the development of character inspired by close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic Life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is by which they strive to live.
Members of Panhel organize Spring Formal Recruitment to help the sororities meet potential new members in the community. They are known for their Rose and Teddy Bear sale for Graduation and their fundraisers at Texas Roadhouse. The women recently introduced a powderpuff football tournament to instill friendly competition and Greek unity amongst the chapters.

Interfraternity Council (IFC)
Members of IFC promote the shared interests and values of our fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship. We believe that our values drive our fraternities to create better communities, better chapters, and better men. We work to advance ESU's academic mission, to enable fraternities to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership. Through mutual support and betterment, we pledge to elevate the Ritual and values of our organizations.
