History major Rafael Cordero featured on ESU Insider

Rafael Cordero, who will graduate in May with a degree in History and Social Studies Secondary Education certification, was recently featured on ESU Insider. He talks about why he chose ESU and how he finished his degree in just three years. Congratulations Rafael!

Professor Frystak publishes Louisiana Women

Professor Shannon Frystak's co-edited volume with Mary Farmer-Kaiser, Louisiana Women: Their Lives and Times, Volume II part of the Southern Women Series from the University of Georgia Press was published in 2016. She has also participated in the nationally renowned Mayapple Woodstock Writers Retreat in Woodstock, NY for the past three years.

Professor Brooks on "Why a History Degree is Useful"

Professor Christopher Brooks published an essay, "Connecting the Dots: Why a History Degree is Useful in the Business World," in the February 2015 issue of Perspectives, the news magazine of the American Historical Association. Dr. Brooks has been participating in the AHA's Tuning project, which is intended to promote new ideas in the study and teaching of history in the United States.
