Summer 2017 Calendar

The academic calendar is divided into fall and spring semesters of approximately 15 weeks each and summer and winter sessions of varying length. The last week of the fall and spring semesters is set aside for final examinations.

The holidays and vacations observed by the university are noted below. Spring break is the week following the spring semester midterm.

12 Weeks - Full Summer (Courses meeting May 15 - August 4, 2017)

May

  • 15 Full Summer Session classes begins
  • 23 Last day to drop a Full Summer Session course as No Grade
  • 23 Last day to add a Full Summer Session course
  • 24 Full Summer Session withdrawal (W) grade period begins
  • 29 Memorial Day - No Classes

June

  • 29 Last day to drop a Full Summer Session course with a withdrawal (W) grade

July

  •   4 Campus closed
  • 27 Grade links open for faculty Full Summer Session

August

  •   4 Full Summer Session ends after last class
  • 10 Final grades due from faculty by 8:00 AM

Summer Session 4A - 4 Weeks - (Courses meeting May 15 - June 9, 2017)

May

  • 15 Summer Session 4A classes begins
  • 17 Last day to drop a Summer Session 4A course as No Grade
  • 17 Last day to add a Summer Session 4A course
  • 18 Summer Session 4A withdrawal (W) grade period begins
  • 31 Last day to drop a Full Session 4A course as a withdrawal (W) grade

June

  •   1 Grade links open for faculty
  •   9 Full Summer Session 4A ends after last class
  • 15 Final grades due from faculty by 8:00 AM

Summer Session 4B - 4 Weeks - (Courses meeting June 12 - July 7, 2017)

  • 12 Summer Session 4B classes begin
  • 14 Last day to drop a Summer Session 4B course as No Grade
  • 14 Last day to add a Summer Session 4B course

  • 26 Early Start summer classes begin
  • 29 Last day to drop an Early Start course as No Grade
  • 29 Last day to add an Early Start course
  • 30 Early Start withdrawal (W) grade period begins

July

  •   4 Campus closed
  • 19 Last day to drop an Early Start course with a withdrawal (W) grade
  • 27 Grade links open for faculty

August

  •   4 Early Start ends after last class
  • 10 Final grades due from faculty by 8:00 AM
