Fall 2018

The academic calendar is divided into fall and spring semesters of approximately 15 weeks each and summer and winter sessions of varying length. The last week of the fall and spring semesters is set aside for final examinations.

The holidays and vacations observed by the university are noted below. Spring break is the week following the spring semester midterm.

August

  • 24 Residence Halls Open (Freshmen & Transfer students)

  • 3 Labor Day - No Classes

  • 4 Last Day to Drop Semester Course as No Grade

  • 5 Semester Withdrawal (W) Grade Begins
  • 17 Priority Deadline to Submit "Intent to Graduate" Application for Fall 2018 Graduation (December) for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
  • 17 Priority Deadline to Submit "Intent to Graduate" Application for Winter 2019 Graduation (January) for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
  • 21 Family Weekend
  • 28 Last Day to Withdraw (W) from Quarter 1 Course

October

  • 4 Homecoming
  • 8 Columbus Day - No Classes
  • 8 Midterm Grade Links Open for Faculty
  • 9 Switch Day - Monday Schedule
  • 16 Quarter 1 Ends
  • 17 Quarter 2 Begins
  • 18 Faculty Deadline to Submit Midterm Grades to Registrar's Office by 9:00 AM
  • 20 Last Day to Drop a Quarter 2 course as No Grade
