Fall 2016

The academic calendar is divided into fall and spring semesters of approximately 15 weeks each and summer and winter sessions of varying length. The last week of the fall and spring semesters is set aside for final examinations.

The holidays and vacations observed by the university are noted below. Spring break is the week following the spring semester midterm.

August

  •   5 Labor Day - No Classes

  •   6 Deadline for Undergraduate "Intent to Graduate" December 2016 Graduation
  •   7 Semester Withdrawal (W) Grade Begins
  • 19 Deadline for Graduate College "Intent to Graduate" December 2016 Graduation

  •   1 Family Weekend
  • 10 Columbus Day - No Classes
  • 10 Midterm Grade Link Open for Faculty
  • 11 Switch Day - Monday Schedule
  • 15 Homecoming
  • 18 Quarter 1 Ends
