Meet the highest standards in the USA!

The M.Ed. with a concentration in Advanced Pedagogy Professional Education includes the National Board Certification process.

Professional and Secondary Education at ESU is the only university that offers National Board Certification, and provides a pathway to an M.Ed. within the same program. This unique partnership allows teachers to earn the most respected teacher certification because the professional development focuses on ongoing growth, not merely outcomes.

Students interested in this option may have completed National Board Certification and are now interested in an M.Ed. with National Board Certification. In order to achieve certification, candidates must have taught for three years, but interested students can begin classes at the first teaching job to be eligible when time requirements are met.
