Bill Broun |

| Bill Broun teaches
professional and creative writing at ESU, with a focus on journalism,
magazine writing, and creative non-fiction. His journalism and literary
criticism have appeared in many major newspapers and magazines
(Washington Post, New York Times, Times Literary Supplement, and more),
as well as specialty publications such as The Architects’ Journal and
Publishers Weekly. He was on staff at the Guardian Newspaper in
Britain. As a journalist for several years in Houston, he covered
serious crime, major natural and industrial disasters, and municipal
government and politics. His fiction has appeared in the Kenyon Review,
Indiana Review, Open City, and elsewhere. He was educated at Miami
University and University College, London, and holds a master of fine
arts degree from the University of Houston’s Creative Writing Program.
He is a fellow of Timothy Dwight College at Yale University, where he
taught English and journalism from 2002 to 2006. He recently completed his first novel, Night of The Animals. |
