Research Interest:

Watershed Biogeochemical Processes, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Stream Corridor Restoration, Hillslope Processes and Soil Erosion Control, Sediment Transport, Environmental Modeling and GIS, Coastal and Estuarine Processes.

• 2007-present, study on the GIS-based modeling on flash flood and risk analysis.
• 2006-present, study on the GIS-based modeling on bank stability in Brodhead Watershed.
• 2005-present, study on the spread of invasive plants and its controlling factors in Brodhead Watershed.
• 2004-2007, study on the river dynamic responses to major flood and its impact on the habitat of trout in Pocono Mountains.
• 2004-2006, collaboration with Delaware River Basin Commission. Study on watershed management plan for Paradise Creek, PA.
• 2005 to present, collaboration with Dr. Ling Bian, SUNY-Buffalo. Study on the movement of contaminants with hydrological models.

• Aug. 2003 to present, collaboration with Dr. Shreeram Inamdar. Use watershed GIS software TAUDEM and SINMAP to determine spatial patterns of wetness index and erosion potential.
• June of 2003 to present, Research Assistant to Dr. Ling Bian. Decompose the currently popular hydrological and non-point pollution models, and study on the modular structure and interoperable GIS-based hydrologic modeling.
• June-Aug., 2002, Research Assistant to Dr. Athol D. Abrahams. Project: Overland flow hydraulics and sediment transport.
