ATARS leverages leverage technologies that are currently used for Time Critical Targeting (by the military) to identify potential terrorists in large pubic venues (airports, stadiums, malls, etc) before they strike. To accomplish this, ATARS applies the following technologies to this problem: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Simulation, Sensor Fusion, Target Estimation and Tracking. The Virtual Infrastructure Simulation Environment (VISE) is simulates human traffic in a given facility and feeds simulated sensor data to ATARS. VISE uses AI-Implant (Engenuity Technologies) as its SIM engine. |

This work is being performed by FD Software Enterprises under a Phase II SBIR contract with the US Army Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny, NJ. It involves the construction of a Common Operational Picture (COP) for the management of emergency incidents. The COP enables from different organizations to seamlessly collaborate via the Internet. In addition, the COP also has situational mining services for searching news feeds or hospital databases to detect the first signs of an emerging Anthrax or Avian influenza epidemic. |
