We recently moved, so I don't even have my station set up yet. Here's
what I had back in Delaware: For portable use I have a Kenwood TH79-AD. It has 5 watts of power on 2 meters and 70 centemeters. My base rig is the Icom IC-706. It's good from 160 meters to 10 meters plus 6 and 2 meters. I ran that with 100 watts out into an MFJ tuner and into a somewhat inverted-V/helical dipole on my patio (In other words as long as I could get without getting in trouble!). |
