And so, a little about myself...

I am an asistant professor of Computer Science at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. We are part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).

I am a commissioned officer in the Army National Guard (please see the commercial and official pages for more information on the guard). I hold an appointment as a Signal Officer in the 198th Expeditionary Signal Battalion of the Delaware Army National Guard.

I received a BA in Communication (with a concentration in Mass Communication) in 1991 and my MS and PhD in Computer Science in 2000 and 2008 respectively from the University of Delaware.

I am a licensed Amateur Radio Operator (call: N3WQW).
Here's some info on my station.

I am a budding young amateur photographer. Some day, I'll put up a gallery. Maybe when I receive tenure! Currently, my setup is a Cananon EOS 20D with a couple lenses. I still have my stuff for a darkroom, maybe I can get that set back up to do some print work again... I used to work in the old 120 format with a Yashica-Mat body that is still limping along!

enjoy brewing and drinking my own beer. Check out the Home Brewer's Digest for how you can get started.

Gardening is a great way to relax & (eventually) enjoy the fruits of your labor (gorgeous flowers, tasty fruits & veggies...). I like experimenting -- trying to start anything from seed or any other way you can get something to grow (e.g., figs, pineapples, etc.) Here is one place I often stop for info: The Garden Helper

SCUBA is always fun (when there's time and money).
I got my start on a boat called The Surface Interval. She's since grown into a non-profit marine archeology team. I think somewhere, I still have the tshirt...
