Lab Reports

Report writing guidelines:

In general if you keep a good notebook by the guidelines listed, your report should simply be translating the information in your notebook to a word processing program and perfecting grammar, etc.  A good notebook is the key to success in this course!

Note: Every report/data sheet should include a bibliography or reference list.  Any reports which do not require a procedure  as part of the report write-up, should include mention of any procedural changes or modifications as a foot-note to the results or discussion as approrpriate.  If in doubt as to the need for a reference please check the academic integrity policy or ask me directly.  Do not take a chance and plagarize.

Chem 317 - After the laboratory you should hand in on the appropriate date the following material:
Post Lab
1.  Notebook copies of data and data analysis/ short summary written in notebook.
2.  Post lab questions (if present)
Lab Report
Typed information - when a report (either short or formal is due) - based on format above
Your report grade is a combination of these factors
